DJ Workshop
Have you ever wondered how a DJ actually DJ’s when they are on a set? How do they choose their records, make the transition between songs, and why? Maybe you have some knowledge of beat-matching, for example, and you’re now interested in mixing in key; and want to advance your skills. Or, perhaps this is all alien and you want to learn from scratch because you love music and have always wanted to learn how to DJ?
If you’re totally new to the world of DJ’ing, you will start by learning about beat-matching and mixing; the cornerstone and number one tool every DJ needs. You’ll also learn various technical skills, including about various pieces of software such as Traktor, RekordBox & Virtual DJ (to name a few) that will allow you to DJ.
During the workshop you will also learn how to produce Mixtapes. A mixtape is a compilation of music, typically from multiple sources, and you’re going to be needing these if you want to perform in a night club or at an event. Mixtapes also allow you to showcase your skills to promoters, and gain buzz around you as an artist; and they’re easy to distribute!
You will then be equipped to carve out your vibe and style that makes you unique and set apart from every DJ.
